David's comment: My usual question. How did evolution find the proper enzyme molecule to do the job? Hunt and peck? Enzymes are huge and complex molecules often with metal ions attached.

And my usual question: Are you now suggesting that 3.8 billion years ago, God equipped the first living cells to pass on a programme for making dandelions with the proper enzyme molecule? (Plus programmes for a few billion other innovations, lifestyles and wonders?) Or did he personally intervene to make sure dandelions survived?
