I was aware of the yeast multicellular study. As usual my analysis is that this was accomplished by human intelligence in a lab. We can only accept it as productive as it represents a possibility of the way simple multicellularity appeared. And with the standard comment: if bacteria are so successful, why bother with multicellularity?
