Cosmologic philosophy: no big crunch (Introduction)

QUOTE: "According to all the evidence, dark energy is here to stay, and a Big Crunch, while possible, just doesn’t describe the future fate of the Universe we happen to live in."

DAVID: if the universe started in a Big Bang and ends up by simply stretching out until no energy exists, what does that mean? Can it be one and done? Or did a series of universes appear serially over eternity? We cannot know. However, just one and done does not seem reasonable. Anything that can happen, can repeat, is my view. Especially if a first cause designer, who must exist, source unknown remains active.

dhw: I am currently perfecting an instrument known as a Glaskugel, and my research up to now has provided me with 100% accurate results, as proven by my own technique of Nachhinein. The completion of my Glaskugel will enable me to predict the future of the universe over the next 100 billion years with pinpoint accuracy, but I need funding. I hope you will support my application for this - $1 million should be enough – and of course I’ll be delighted to credit all sponsors in the detailed Weltallforschungsabhandlung which I shall complete on 26th February 2037. (Just one more example of my pinpoint accuracy.)

I look forward to your space white paper, which I hope explains the origin of space.
