dhw: Your point was that Guth had proved there was no before our BB, and time did not exist before our BB. You believe that God may have created prior BBs, which means there was a before and there was time.

I don't 'believe' God made previous BB's. We are imagining the possibility. Guth's point only considered the possibility of time before our BB, not any others prior. So Guth is not looking at our imagined interval for a prior BB, and is not addressing past time in other previous BB's. Your objection is pointless.

That is what you now disagree with, and yet you accuse me of twisting!!!! You have changed your mind, so why can’t you leave it at that?

My mind is unchanged. Once again you have found an illogical complaint.

dhw: No we can’t. You are reverting to the equally silly argument that although you agree time is a sequence of before-during-after, there is no before during and after each previous BB. Even regardless of that, you are still agreeing that time existed before our BB (in all the other possible BBs), so you are still negating your original quote. Please stop disagreeing with yourself and have done with it.

We are arguing basic cosmology: time starts within a BB. a sequence of imagined BB's does not make time. Only event sequences with a BB are time
