Theodicy: solution lies in definition of God (Introduction)

Irreducibly complex controls

dhw: You have sliced and diced evolution by claiming that your God not only designed every individual life form, but sometimes did so using precursors and sometimes did so from scratch (Cambrian – no precursors). You don’t need to tell us that all life forms need food or that at one time mammals evolved. I keep asking you why your God specially designed countless life forms, including mammals, and their food that had no connection with us humans and our food, although his sole purpose was to produce us humans and our food. You just go on month after month trying to dodge the question.

I have dodged nothing. I simply use God's produced history to tell me what God did and our unusual result tells me we were His goal in life's production during His designed evolutionary process. I won't change my view and I'm tired of repeating it politely when you purpose it endlessly with no hope of my change, and since I find your objection groundless in view of my view of God.

DAVID: […] It is simple to accept that God chose to evolve us in necessary stages. All evolution is connected in branching stages.

dhw: It is indeed simple for any evolutionist to accept that ALL life forms branched out in stages from earlier life forms. That does not mean that all extinct life forms plus food, most of which had no connection with humans plus food, existed only “as part of the goal of evolving [= designing] humans” plus food.

DAVID: It does if one believe God evolved us from bacteria.

dhw: Firstly, that is no longer clear since you believe the Cambrian yielded species with no precursors , and secondly, our evolution from bacteria does not explain why your God would have specially designed life forms which had no connection with his “direct intentionality” to create us and our food.

DAVID: Just accept a designer and your constant confusion will disappear. All life needs a big bush of food supply.

dhw: But…yet again!... if humans were your God’s only goal, why would the designer design countless forms of life and food that had no connection with humans? Just accept that your designer might have had a different goal, or might NOT have individually designed every life form and food, “and your constant confusion will disappear”.

I'm not confused. The bold above should be humans were God's desired endpoint using an evolutionary designed process. That is my very logical unchanging position.
