I still don't know why we need the image of the hologram, but if people find it helpful, that's fine with me! - A camera is a reasonable recorder of a scene. I think we can trust the picture we get as an exact representation of the view before us. We look at the picture and the scene and they are the same. Our eyes produce an accurate representation of physical reality. That is enough for me.
