Perhaps you would like to explain how your “God may have given organisms the ability to work it out for themselves” only if he tells them what to do and makes it look as if they are working it out for themselves.-DAVID: Same stopping point: intelligent information can make organisms appear intelligent, when in fact they are only following instructions. Can you discern the difference when sitting outside the organisms? No, and neither can I. We each have taken our own choices. Mine is based on reason guided by Adler.-You said “I couldn't agree more that God may have given organisms the ability to 'work it out for themselves'", then later added that this was only possible if God guided the organisms. I am simply pointing out that this is an either/or. Either organisms are intelligent enough to do it themselves or your God tells them what to do. You clearly do not agree that God gave organisms the ability to work it out for themselves, and so there is no point in saying that you do. You have therefore restricted yourself to the belief that every innovation and natural wonder was preplanned or dabbled.
