I suggest you read the book by James Le Fanu, Why Us?, 2010, who is a parallel thinker to me, marshalling an enormous amount of anatomic and neurologic evidence of our difference from all the rest. A major point of his. Our giant brain is really very old compared to its current use in the past 25,000 years. Are we to believe that chance evolution put it together so early to just see it sit there without expression of its function until hundreds of thousand of years later? If the evolutionary process is thought to be adaptations to immediate stresses, our brain does not fit the pattern in any way.
