The missing 750 million years famous layer in the Grand Canyon is now hysterically invoked as a reason and poof, the Cambrain gap. No need for precursors. "Natural selection worked quickly". Suddenly NS is active, not passive. It is found elsewhere in the world. I have personally put my hand on where the missing layers should be, during a Grand Canyon river trip with a geology professor.
