Our earliest yet ancestor shows we are different in kind, not degree. We now are sure we did not descent from apes. We are not chimps!

Also human and ape fetuses are very similar in features to start and then later more ape-like features appear in the apes.-Well, at some point *all* fetuses look the same. One of the most interesting things I've always loved is the human "gill" structure during early development. -I had not however heard that there was a suggestion that our line was the one that other species had branched off of.
