You have agreed many times, however, that belief in the supernatural requires more than scientific evidence, so why compare the two? -To me the main point of Darwin's work was to provide a mechanism from the apparent appearance of common sense evolution as to how it might have worked. Evolution, from what I have read, was a widely accepted possibility. Until Darwin explained his approach, how it might work was not. That is why I reference Darwin as I do.
