I just want to point out that my mistrust has nothing to do with pre-conceived notions of how old the Earth is or with my personal religious beliefs. I disagree with them on a purely scientific basis. However, in this case I was merely wanting to point out the simplest and most likely reason that the data does not fit the theories.

What is the purpose of living? How about, 'to reduce needless suffering. It seems to me to be a worthy purpose.
