DHW: I understand your view that humans are meant to be the stewards of the Earth and that God hasn't finished his work. But you keep talking of God's purpose, and you have associated it with the development of the world. What do you mean by the development of the world, and what do you think his ultimate purpose is?-That is something that is not actually revealed in the bible. There are clues and hints, but nothing concrete. The closest the bible comes to giving an ultimate purpose for everything is:-Col 1:16 For in him (Christ) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.-The closest the bible comes to stating an ultimate purpose is that of a Father creating a gift with and for his son.

What is the purpose of living? How about, 'to reduce needless suffering. It seems to me to be a worthy purpose.
