The real discussion: Values (Humans)

That is Nagel's point; we have no theory as to how it appears. Reducing it to a material description of what every neuron does and how they all are connected, and how the brain hormones work will not answer the question. fMRI's tell us roughly where thoughts are made, but not how they are made.
