MATT: At three (now16) chapters in, Ive been hesitant to offer anything, partly because at least in David’s case, I’ve read at least TWO book suggestions and feel some reciprocation is in order!

I’ll wait until I finish the work for a more thorough analysis, but suffice it to say that just as biology is being changed by epigrnetics, discoveries are being made about trees that move them into our own sphere of influence. They have memory and the ability to learn from the past.
Will they build The Hague? Unlikely. But the distinctions are being blurred.

I’m all agog to hear your conclusions, Matt. As you know, I too am convinced that the cell communities which make up plants and trees have their own form of intelligence, and this has profound implications for our understanding of evolution. But from the sound of it you will be able to add a new dimension to this hypothesis.
