And so even by your definition of time, it is not time that stops but the observation of time. Otherwise, we are back to saying that if there is no observer, there is no time.-To me time is a series of events. If the events happen time passes, just as if a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, the sound still exists. As Romansh points out, the faster one goes, the more the mass and the slower the time, reaching a point of infinite mass and no time, but it is all theory and not observable.
