Matt: Dangerous AI? (Introduction)
> Matt: I think that in the next 100 years or so, we'll be able to mimic a great majority of human behaviors, but "true" AI is something that I do not believe will be possible until the underlying hardware more accurately models a brain.-That will require the computing ability of 100 billion neurons with trillions of synapses, which themselves can self-modify electrical impulses received. Modelling the brain in humans raises ergical problems because it will require electrodes in bran aread as well as very careful 3-d depictions of axon/synapse mapping, notwithstanding the problem taht brain plasticity throws another curve at the results. No two brains are the same in finer detail, so it would have to be a generic AI brain.
