I'd just like to draw attention to this excellent article by Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, a Muslim woman, on the awful situation of women in Islamic states, and the lack of protest from many Muslim women in this country. - http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/yasmin-alibhai-brown/yasmin-alibhaibr... - "Female oppression in Islamic countries is manifestly getting worse.
