> I hope you won't find my comments offensive. They're not meant to be. On this forum, we generally examine ideas critically, in the hope of encouraging rational discussion. In this case, as I've said, I can't even be sure that I've understood all the arguments, so please take my remarks in a constructive spirit, and put me right if you think I've gone wrong! Thank you again.-Sorry you wasted so much time analyzing this pile of stuff that resembles what my horses produce. Hoffman is so scholarly he mentions Josephus as proof of Jesus. Josephus was born at the time Jesus died. His entry about Jesus is thought to be a forgery. But even if it is not, Josephus was only reporting heresay. Word-of-mouth is the only evidence that a specific individual existed whose real name was Joshua ben Joseph. The rest is faith, and the ethics and love taught in the New Testamant are an excellent guide for humanity to follow.
