Tonight, as I watched our new President's acceptance speech, I can say, my heart swelled with thankfulness and pride for the nation we have become. We have come such a long way in such a short time but not so far from our founding fathers vision of equality among their beloved nations people. All political opinions aside, we have matured as a nation in electing a president from among our diverse melting pot. We still have a long road to hoe, it is not going to be easy as we are still a young nation. But this world is filled with children of differing colors and opinions, just as we are, and tonight, America shines as a guiding light of hope for them all.
