Good article; discusses Newton, Einstein, Leibnitz. i'm with the latter:-http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg21128330.400-about-time-what-is-it.html?-Don't be afraid to sign up. Harmless, and allows about one story a week-
Why does it go in one direction?-

Why does it go in one direction?

A cosmologist waxes philosophic about time. Adam Frank accepts multiverses, string theory and quantum gravity as next steps:

Time: What is it ?

Humanity knows very little about time. Their theories are laden with assumptions, the first and most egregious is that there is only a single dimension of time rather than several.

David Turell: "Why does it go in one direction?"

We perceive time moving only in one direction because energetic reactions, as we understand them and normally perceive them, only occur in positive dimensional space.

Time expressed in negative dimensional space has a reverse direction (negative causality). Positrons have been proven to be electrons that are expressing this negative causality in positive dimensional space.

This of course, is still theoretic.

Abel: Welcome aboard. Hope you stay. We are civilized here and your ideas will be fun to discuss. dhw is the starter of the site, and quite the english gentleman. It is late for me this evening. I'd like to dig in tomorrow
