Hatred spurned by survival... (Humans)

In this odd post, I report a feeling I get when meditating on the dark idea of the destruction of our entire civilization...-We've all seen movies or read books that discuss the world being destroyed by aliens or the supernatural... but have you ever felt an inherent rage for a villain to the extent that you actually felt bloodlust? -What I mean by this, is that the images evoked within you were so powerful that the urge to destroy brokered no feeling of remorse whatsoever?-I've felt this to a lesser extent from the movie "Aliens" when Lt. Ripley faced off in a life or death struggle with the queen... and to a greater extent in "The Matrix" when faced with the Villian of "The Agent."-In modern society, one thing that most of us never get to experience is the direct threat of loss of life for ourselves or our loved ones by another being. -What role can rationality play when faced with an extreme such as this? When does Utilitarian Ethics win?

\"Why is it, Master, that ascetics fight with ascetics?\"

\"It is, brahmin, because of attachment to views, adherence to views, fixation on views, addiction to views, obsession with views, holding firmly to views that ascetics fight with ascetics.\"
