David Sloan Wilson (Introduction)

George: Has there been any discussion here about the ideas of David Sloan Wilson
who writes on group selection in evolution and evolutionary psychology and economics?
I did a search and came up with nothing.

He has now gone into writing fiction, with a book called "Atlas Hugged".
This is obviously a reference to Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged".
There is an interview here:

DSW is not to be confused with DHW!

DAVID: He is well discussed and described on Wikipedia, But I have not read his ideas. Sorry.

I would have to sign in to get the interview, and it’s over an hour long anyway. The Wikipedia article gives loads of cross-references, as David Sloan Wilson (what an illustrious name!) obviously applies evolutionary theory to a wide range of subjects. I have difficulty finding time to keep up with all David’s posts as it is! It would be extremely helpful, George, if you could do as David does, and summarize or edit any particular article you’re interested in. It would be really valuable to the balance of this website to have your views on any of the subjects we discuss.
