It’s a pity that he doesn’t seem to have realized that Darwin was an agnostic. My own conversion from atheism to agnosticism came about initially through reading Origin of Species. Since then I have always respected design as an argument in favour of God’s existence, just as I respect the argument that one cannot solve a mystery by creating an even more mysterious mystery. If it weren’t for “probably a better chance”, I would also regard the writer as an “intellectual twin”.
