Did any water carry with it? Probably not, as water was a later arrival here from comets.-I posted that link because the moon has a helluva lot more water than it should. On the hot side. This suggests oxygen-rich rocks; when they get hit with raw protons it forms H20. Water formation in no atmosphere is what interests me: it raises more questions for panspermia.

Water formation in no atmosphere is what interests me: it raises more questions for panspermia.-The moon setup as it is, means the tiny amounts of water boil off rather immediately. Panspermia is only an excuse for the origin of life problem here on earth. 'Origin' just rockets out into the universe!

Panspermia is only an excuse for the origin of life problem here on earth. 'Origin' just rockets out into the universe!-I wouldn't throw it out as an excuse. You said yourself that we only had 8 amino acids to start with? My point is to say that we do not know enough about the formation of planets as well as deep-space chemistry to rule out that idea. Those amino acids came from somewhere, and even if our origins were directed by some kind of intelligence, those other 12 didn't simply appear from nowhere. They came from somewhere.

Seeing the title I wondered at first what an H20 generator might be. A twenty horsepower generator? It took me a while to twig that it was meant to be H2O.-Edit: the "size = small" feature, which I applied to the "2" seems to make things larger!
