Recharged after Vacation... Hello again agnosticweb! (Humans)
Spent a great deal of time reading Emerson on the trip. - Now I understand Nietzsche like I never had before. My old prof for N said that in his opinion 95% of N's allusions are based on Emerson... by god its true. Especially when Emerson critiques the preaching of a "dead god" in an address to divinity students... it brings an entirely different perspective on things and a huge inroad to an otherwise hard to penetrate writer. - Most importantly, my wife and I are both whole and rejuvenated and prepared for the hardest year we have yet faced. I have only one thing to bounce back from this year, and all truth be told, that's a pretty damned good year. - I've also decided to start writing my thoughts more formally. - I had hoped to read Shapiro on the trip at the behest of Dr. Turell but I couldn't escape Emerson. More of that "free will" I was teasing him about before I left. (Yeah, I could have forced myself to read Shapiro but truth be told my heart wouldn't have been in it. Who was willing whom here?) - Lets rock...

\"Why is it, Master, that ascetics fight with ascetics?\"
\"It is, brahmin, because of attachment to views, adherence to views, fixation on views, addiction to views, obsession with views, holding firmly to views that ascetics fight with ascetics.\"
