DAVID: For our chocoholic: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2012/09/120920135605.htm-I am totally mystified as to why researchers should think it necessary to explain why humans (and rats) find chocolate irresistible. The puzzle is why some humans (and presumably some rats) do NOT find it irresistible.

Besides one has to do something to justify the grant money, the source of life for many labs.

Not to compare dhw to the experimental animal! But it may help the aging brain, and I am certainly using chocolate for that reason, and that reason alone.-http://phys.org/news/2012-09-chocolate-snails-smarter.html

DAVID: Not to compare dhw to the experimental animal! But it may help the aging brain, and I am certainly using chocolate for that reason, and that reason alone. http://phys.org/news/2012-09-chocolate-snails-smarter.html-During my many years of scientific experimentation in this field, I can state categorically that my memory has functioned at 100% capacity in relation to my daily intake of chocolate. I have never missed a mouthful. I am therefore not in the least surprised to hear that snails and no doubt other of my fellow creatures have experienced similar improvements to the memory. I should add that there are countless further benefits that have been scientifically proven, and I wish I could remember what they were.
