http://m.smartplanet.com/blog/pure-genius/citizen-scientists-use-games-to-design-protei... surprising, and very interesting, but studies years ago (perhaps the 60's or 70's). Small groups (20-30) were given an amount of information and asked to estimate an answer. The averages from the group ansers were remarkably close to the experimental observations.
