It would be advisable for D. H. Wilson to identify himself (or herself?) a little more with some biographical background, since there are a lot of D. Wilson's about! We know from the H that he is not David Sloan Wilson who argues with Richard Dawkins about group selection. But he might be Douglas Wilson (a US theologian) author of "Letter from a Christian Citizen" in response to Sam Harris. Or he might be David Harlan Wilson, a science fiction writer. Or ...?

Why? Of what relevance is the identity of the writer to the validity of the arguments s/he writes?

The people who promote Intelligent Design are not always as honest and upfront about their motives as they could be, and I have a nasty suspicious nature. - However in this case it seems the author is just being a little over-modest, and perhaps nervous about coming forward into an unfamiliar arena of controversy. - xxxxxxxxxx - Item relating to DHW Removed by Web Co-ordination Team - The request by the guide's author was that comment / criticism should directed at the guide and not at the author. I'm sure in due course all will be revealed. In the meantime, nice bit of investigation - full marks for super sleuthing. If I am informed that this situation has changed I will re-instate George's comment. - Neil - xxxxxxxxxx - It is of course perfectly possible to judge the value of a writer's views purely from what they write, but it's nice to have some background colour. - I delayed posting this in the expectation that the author would reply himself, but he hasn't chosen to do so.
