Interview from GEOCHANGE-Exclusive interview of the famous scientist, geophysicist, Professor Elchin Khalilov, Chairman of the International Committee on Global Geological and Environmental Change GEOCHANGE. <==(Not some two bit hack)-Ok, so I have long been of the opinion that starting in or around 2012 we were going to be seeing a lot of geological activity generated primarily solar activity. Despite all of NASAs poopooing the idea, there appears to be some validation for it (finally) coming from an international watchdog organization. I stumbled across this quite on accident while reading articles on the latest earthquakes down in Mexico. So, here are a few more links to peruse in conjunction with the one above. -Up to March 2012-Wiki Lists by Year-So without getting into any Mayan mumbo jumbo or anything, I I'd like to get your thoughts on whether there is any significance to the trends. -Also, on a more philosophical note, I found this statement particularly stimulating:-As far back as in the first half of the 20th century, the prominent Russian scientist Alexander Leonidovich Chizhevsky laid the foundation of realizing the considerable solar energy impact on terrestrial processes of both biological and non-biological character. He showed convincing statistical relationship between biological and physiological processes and the 11-year solar activity cycles. His studies also include demonstration of solar activity impact on intensification of geological processes, natural disasters in particular. But what is most interesting is that he associated large-scale social processes like wars and revolutions with solar activity impact.-Chizhevsky believed that humanity and the entire Earth are under constant radiation of space energy fluxes coming from both the Sun and distant nebulae, stars, galaxies, etc. Being exposed to the flows of space radiation, the biosphere in a certain way reacts to their variations and dynamics, adjusting to the rhythms and other parameters of space lives of stars and planets, producing protecting mechanisms against harmful radiations and adapting to ever changing living conditions. The concepts of biosphere and noosphere elaborated in the philosophy of academician Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky, the prominent scientist and thinker of modern times, demonstrate in the best way possible the unity of and close connection between biological and non-biological life.-Any thoughts?

What is the purpose of living? How about, 'to reduce needless suffering. It seems to me to be a worthy purpose.
