But I do accept the statement in the Bible that we are made in God's image, in that we have intellect which is a tiny part of the universal intelligence. I believe that the universal intelligence is both within and without our universe, which makes me a panentheist. My reasoning here is that the Big Bang came from nothing, but there has to be a First Cause, and I am a strong Thomist in this regard.
