But the subject obviously has memory about being conscious during that time. The cerebrum is made up of energy just as consciousness is, but they did not see the level of energy normally displayed in a conscious cerebrum, right? Because obviously their machines had to pick up the energy of the brain itself? Is it possible that the machines ability to detect consciousness at this low level is just not powerful enough to detect it? Does it have to be that this persons conscious energy "left" his body or could it possibly be that his consciousness was at such a low level it could not be detected? And while in such a low state of consciousness, the subject dreamed? Because many people learn things unknown to them in the dreamstate all the time, even if they forget when they wake up. -Just thought I'd ask...
